Recent Events I’ve Discovered

Just by passively watching my Twitter stream, I’ve learned that a vineyard is sprayed at dawn during late June in Napa. Vineyards here are sprayed at night or at dawn as most applications require cool temperatures to be effective.

Tempted by chocolate – the dessert chef at Boundary Bay Brewery has just whipped up a new Summer Dessert Menu – and they have a fantastic way to promote it! @boundarybay says:

We want Twitterers to come in and sample our new desserts and help us decide which beers pair best with each of the tasty treats.  Twitterers will taste for free, but the deal is they have to tweet for their food (you know…like sing for your supper.)!

Irish Stout

A rich, dark brew displaying coffee, chocolate and licorice aromatics, roasty bitter notes with a dry finish. Thomas Coopers Irish Stout is an authentic recipe containing a blend of malted barley, roasted barley, flaked barley and hops. The pour will show a turbulent, cascading tan foaming action. Eventually, this settles into a creamy beige coloured head that rests atop the beer. Use with 500g Light Dry Malt + 300g Dextrose.
